This is the last week for reading our current Lit Circle and finish our writing piece. Students will not have vocabulary homework to provide extra time for finishing the essay or historical fiction. It is important to check in with your student and make sure they are making progress towards completion. I will send an email home on Wednesday if your student is not done.

Students will take the Unit Test for World War 1 and 2 on Tuesday. It is important for all students to review information using their Study Guide handed out last week.
Once we have completed that test, then students will begin a new unit of study focusing on learning to read maps. We will use the end of the week to introduce map skills and new types of maps we will be using for the rest of the year. Students will have an Independent Student Notebook (ISN) to track notes and use for studying. It is an exciting curriculum and I know the students will learn a lot about maps!
