Students brought home their Unit 3 Test. The students did well on this test, but there were some students that struggled on portions of the test. To read their score understand that the standards are numbered 1, 2, and 3. Behind the standard number the students should have a score of 1-5 (1 – not yet meeting and 5 – exceeding).
If they have a score in any of the standards below 3, then I have asked them to complete some Make Up Points work to show that they understand the material. Please sign the test after discussing what steps they will take to bring up the score. Students receiving a 3 can complete the Make Up Points, but it is not required.
Options:
- Score lower than 3 on Short Answer response (Standards 1 and 2) – create a drawing, chart or write an article to show that you now understand the concept.
- Score lower than 3 on the multiple-choice questions (Standard 3) – mark the correct answer and then explain why this is the right answer.
