Social Studies:
The Unit 5 Test will happen on Monday, April 22nd. Students should be prepared to answer questions about Reconstruction and Industrial Revolution.
This week Bree will begin teaching about immigration during the early 1900s. It is an engaging chapter focused on immigrants from Italy, China, Mexico and European Jews.
Students will also begin their Spring Research project, Research a Bill. They will research a bill that is currently being debated in the Oregon Legislature. Students will write a persuasive letter to a sitting Senator or Representative asking them to support or not support a current bill. The goal is learning how to write a persuasive letter and will help students to learn more about current legislation that might affect them in the future.
