Language Arts:
Monday will be our last day to finish our final drafts of our writing in class. After that students will need to work at home or stay in during Art and PE to finish up. I will send an email home if they are needing more time on Monday.
We will begin our next writing adventure this week, focusing on reading nonfiction and writing a research paper. The students will select a country at random and then use this assignment to learn more about the country. Our first draft will be due on Dec. 17th. Students will continue working on this process throughout January, culminating with an exhibit for families to view (most likely online) for our Celebrations of Learning. This is an exciting project, but it will require students to remain focused on one country for a long time. Help them keep that excitement by asking questions and finding out cool information about their country too!
