Students are continuing our work with Seedfolks and learning how to read into the story to better understand the character, as well as the author’s intention for writing. The students are finishing up their piece, narrative or creative fiction, about an origin point in their own life or the life of a made-up character.

Social Studies:
Students received their Ancient Japan tests today. Ask them how they did and ask to see their work. If they are planning to fix errors and resubmit, please help them finish it by next Monday, October 14.
Today students learned about the Plague and the Hundred Years’ War. It is a fascinating topic, despite the horrible atrocities that occurred. Next we will dig into the Renaissance and Reformation. Time moves quickly in Social Studies and students should be taking some time to review their notes and make sure they are confident that they understand what we discussed.
